Atlas

Atlas is primarily portrayed as Astro Boy's younger brother, created by Dr. Tenma after the scientist's disappointment in Astro. Built with comparable super-brain technology but unconstrained by Astro's robot laws, Atlas concludes that humans and robots cannot coexist without exploitation and seeks to establish a robot nation through revolution. In the 2001 Metropolis film, his Star System counterpart instead appears as a human revolutionary leader defending workers displaced by robots.
