Story spoilers
Andy and his twin brother are separated through adoption as babies, and Andy's adopted mother is killed above his crib. He later learns that his twin, Ansem Weems, has been targeting people important to him; Andy kills Ansem to stop him. His powers also develop enough for him to transmit images directly into other people's minds. After being brought to Cold Oak by the Yellow-Eyed Demon, Andy uses this ability to alert Dean to the group's location before being killed by a demon summoned by Ava.
