Alicia Melrose

When Alicia is four, an outbreak of demons attacks her town and her parents die. She is then sent to an old church orphanage, where the caretaker and elders abuse and mistreat her. At seven, she runs away believing she may be sold and is attacked by a mysterious woman who plans to use a magic stone to replace herself in body and mind; Alicia strikes back and kills the woman. Alicia then realizes that her world is the otome-game world “Ciel” and that her parents' death and current situation are scenarios, rejects otome games, and decides to survive on her own.
