Alfons Heiderich is a rocket engineer who closely resembles Alphonse Elric and befriends Edward. Fascinated but skeptical about Edward's stories of another world where alchemy is real, Alfons studies under the father of modern rocketry and hopes to build a rocket that can actually carry a person.
