Albert Heinrich

Albert and his fiancée Hilda try to escape to West Berlin disguised as circus workers, but border guards open fire after Albert panics at a checkpoint, killing Hilda and injuring him. Black Ghost agents falsely promise medical help and instead turn Albert into a cyborg. In the 2001 series, the painful aftermath of his modifications helps prompt Black Ghost to suspend the cyborg program for decades.
