Akeno Misaki

Akeno Misaki is the commanding officer of the Harekaze. Cheerful, optimistic, and remarkably lucky, she believes that "shipmates are family" and keeps faith that difficulties will work themselves out. She enters maritime school in Yokosuka to pursue a childhood dream of becoming a Blue Mermaid and memorizes the names of the entire Harekaze crew and its animal mascots.
