Akane Satomura is a quiet girl in Kōhei's class whom he meets standing alone in an empty lot on a rainy day. She enjoys cooking her own boxed lunches, has a strong sweet tooth, and keeps most people at a distance, generally responding "no" when Kōhei tries to help. Shiiko is the one person she can speak with normally.
Story spoilers
Akane waits in that same empty lot on rainy days because her childhood friend Tsukasa, whom she loved, disappeared there into the Eternal World. She continues returning with a pink umbrella in hope that he will come back.
