SHIROBAKO

Five friends once made an animated film together and promised that they would someday work in animation professionally. Two years later, Aoi, Shizuka, Ema, Misa, and Midori are discovering how difficult turning that dream into a career can be.

Aoi Miyamori is overwhelmed as a production assistant, Shizuka waits tables between auditions, Ema works long hours as a key animator, Misa has moved into computer graphics, and Midori is still trying to establish herself as a writer. SHIROBAKO follows their separate struggles inside the anime industry while keeping alive the shared ambition that first brought them together.
