Shiranuhi

Near the end of summer 1996, ten-year-old Minato struggles with life alongside his drunken father in a coastal Kumamoto town. He finds comfort in Ben-chan, a goddess who appeared as a young girl on Benten Island. When a move to a children's home threatens to separate them, he asks the mysterious Shiranuhi light over the sea to grant a wish.
