Nichijou - My Ordinary Life

Nichijou follows the everyday lives of childhood friends Mio Naganohara, Yuuko Aioi, and Mai Minakami, whose school routines constantly veer into the absurd. Their stories gradually intersect with those of young genius Hakase Shinonome, her robot caretaker Nano, and their talking cat Sakamoto.

Ordinary activities rarely stay ordinary for long. A walk to school can sit beside encounters with talking animals, while casual time with friends can be interrupted by events as ridiculous as the school principal wrestling a deer. The series moves freely between quiet slices of daily life and wildly exaggerated comedy, treating both as equally natural parts of its characters' routines. Around the central six is a larger cast whose own eccentric behavior adds further unpredictability to an otherwise familiar school setting.
