GOLDEN BOY

Kintarou Ooe completed all of his university coursework but left before graduating, choosing instead to become a wandering student. Traveling by bicycle, he moves from place to place in pursuit of practical lessons about work, people, and life itself.

Kintarou takes whatever jobs he can find and approaches each new experience with intense curiosity and determination. His travels repeatedly bring him into contact with different women and unfamiliar workplaces, but just as others begin to appreciate his unusual combination of intelligence and effort, he moves on to his next lesson.
