Date A Live

Thirty years after a catastrophic spacequake devastated central Eurasia, smaller versions of the phenomenon continue to strike without warning. Shidou Itsuka, an apparently ordinary high school student, encounters a mysterious girl at the center of one such event and learns from his sister Kotori Itsuka that she is a Spirit. Spirits trigger spacequakes when they appear in the world, but Shidou possesses an unusual ability capable of sealing their powers. Kotori, captain of the airship Ratatoskr, recruits him to neutralize Spirits without simply destroying them. The method is unconventional: Shidou must make each Spirit fall in love with him before he can seal her power.
