Ascendance of a Bookworm

Sickly young Myne suddenly develops an intense obsession with books and inventing things, baffling the family around her. The reason is hidden inside her memories: she carries the consciousness of Urano Motosu, a book-loving apprentice librarian who died in an earthquake in Tokyo.

Reborn into a medieval world where books are expensive objects reserved for the elite, Myne refuses to accept a life without reading. With limited health and few resources, she decides that if books are inaccessible, she will find a way to create them herself. Her determination to bring books within reach of ordinary people turns everyday materials, crafts, and practical ideas into steps toward rebuilding the world of reading she lost.
